What will be the resolution of my finished digital portrait?

Your digital pet portrait will be delivered in high resolution for either online viewing or printing. Our default designs are 2048x2048 pixels square, which is perfect for printing up to 8x8 inch prints.

Will you check that my photo is suitable before processing my order?

Yes. Our digital artists perform a quality check on every photo before we start work.

We know from experience that getting an nice clear close-up shot of your pet can sometimes be a challenge (especially if they're a bit camera shy!) The quality of your source photo will impact the quality of your final portrait, though, so it's worth taking the time and effort to get this step right.

Refer to the Photo Guide provided on each theme's page for guidance on selecting the best photo for optimal results.

It's important to choose a sharp, bright, high-resolution image, ideally from your pet's eye-level and with their face clearly visible. If you're having trouble choosing, you have the option to upload up to 3 alternative photos and our team will pick the one that works best with your chosen theme.

If you're still not sure if any of your photos fit the bill after consulting our guide, no problem. Just place your order and our team will inspect your image(s) and reach out if there are any issues that would prevent us from creating the perfect masterpiece for your furry companion.

If that's the case, you'll have the option to send us an alternative photo. And if we're just not able to find an image that works, we'll refund your order.

Will my pet's portriat look exactly like the image in my basket?

These are one-of-a-kind pet portraits based on a theme. Your pet will be hand crafted into a simialr scene to the one shown. The pose and content will change but the theme will stay the same.

Will I get to preview my pet's portrait before it's finalized?

Yes, for sure! We want to make sure you are completely happy with your one-of-a-kind custom design, so we will email you a pre-production proof version of your portrait for review. You can request revisions, if needed.

When you're totally over the moon with your custom design, we'll super-size it to high resolution and email it off to you without delay.

Does it matter if my photo is in black and white?

Black and white photos work great for portraits and are a great way to add a sophisticated, artsy vibe to any mantlepiece!

Just make sure the photo you send us is well-lit and in focus and we'll transform it into a stunning black and white retro portrait of your furry companion in no time at all!
